Prior to her current post at the University of Maryland (CIO) she worked in the last Presidential Administration where she led the Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (OIE), an office within the Commerce Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA). The Center for American Entrepreneurship (CAE) is a non-partisan Washington area-based 501(c)(3) policy and advocacy organization. CAE’s mission is to engage and educate policymakers in Washington, and at state and local levels across the nation, regarding the critical importance of entrepreneurs and start-ups to innovation, economic growth, and job creation, and to pursue a comprehensive policy agenda intended to significantly enhance the circumstances for new business formation, survival, and growth.
During this Midwest Entrepreneurship roundtable, hosted by Pipeline, CAE will gather a roundtable to dialogue with entrepreneurs, academic experts, mentors, and other practitioners in pursuit of a better understanding of American entrepreneurship and its challenges. This is your chance to influence a robust pro-entrepreneurship policy agenda. Space is limited available only to Pipeline entrepreneurs, University Partners, sponsors and invited guests.
Speed Networking A brand new event designed by Pipeline members to bring us together for an intimate and VIP evening the night before the public event action. Mix and mingle with our entrepreneurs, meet the new 2019 Fellows before they are announced and get to know Pipeline National advisors, judges and more from coast to coast. The event will include dinner.
The daytime event includes pitches from graduating Pipeline Fellows, talks from seasoned Pipeline entrepreneurs and national advisors, entertainment, networking and more. This is a very energetic, action packed event. And it will have hundreds in attendance from around the Midwest—and the nation. After 12 years of producing this event, we are confident in saying this will be the best opportunity in over a decade to get your brand in front of a crowd of high growth entrepreneurs and those who support their growth.
The evening Awards is our capstone event of the year where our high energy Pipeline network gathers for awards for growth, leadership and of course our Innovator of the Year. Known as a very “out of the box” formal affair, you can look forward to robust networking, entertainment, dinner, dancing and famous Pipeline “antics.” This is a don’t miss event!
